NY Rangers GM Glen Sather Selling Desert Retreat for $2.7M:
When you’re involved in professional ice hockey for a living, it’s nice to have an offseason home in a warm climate. For example, Glen Sather, New York Rangers president and general manager, has kept a house for years in the desert in La Quinta, CA. Sather’s even held offseason meetings in his home, which likely required extra air conditioning, considering the average high temperature in the resort town outside of Palm Springs tops 100 degrees from June through September. Now Sather is ready to move on from the luxury home, and he’s enlisted agent Kay Bastasini to sell it. He’s asking for $2.7 million. With its palm trees, pool, mountain scenery, and a stream that runs through the backyard, the compound feels like an oasis.
